فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

“Then they rejected him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them; indeed it was the punishment of a great day”.

It is told in verses 46: 24-25 about destroying Hood’s people (Aad): “And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said: "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Nay, it is that for which you were impatient, a wind within it a painful punishment, destroying everything with the Command of its Lord. And they became as nothing was seen except their dwellings; thus We do revenge the Mujirims”. See explanation 7: 171.
